Wind turbine blade failure is the most prominent and common type of damage occurring in operating wind turbine systems. Conventional nondestructive testing systems are not available for in situ wind turbine blades. We propose a portable long distance ultrasonic propagation imaging (LUPI) system that uses a laser beam targeting and scanning system to excite, from a long distance, acoustic emission sensors installed in the blade. An examination of the beam collimation effect using geometric parameters of a commercial 2 MW wind turbine provided Lamb wave amplitude increases of 41.5 and 23.1 dB at a distance of 40 m for symmetrical and asymmetrical modes, respectively, in a 2 mm-thick stainless steel plate. With this improvement in signal-to-noise ratio, a feasibility study of damage detection was conducted with a 5 mm-thick composite leading edge specimen. To develop a reliable damage evaluation system, the excitation/sensing technology and the associated damage visualization algorithm are equally important. Hence, our results provide a new platform based on anomalous wave propagation imaging (AWPI) methods with adjacent wave subtraction, reference wave subtraction, reference image subtraction, and the variable time window amplitude mapping method. The advantages and disadvantages of AWPI algorithms are reported in terms of reference data requirements, signal-to-noise ratios, and damage evaluation accuracy. The compactness and portability of the proposed UPI system are also important for in-field applications at wind farms. 相似文献

Hydrophilic Ag nanostructures were synthesized by physical vapour deposition of 5 nm Ag thin films followed by irradiation with 1.5 keV Ar atoms. Optical absorbance measurements show a characteristic surface plasmon resonance absorption band in visible region. A blue-shift in absorbance from 532 to 450 nm is observed with increasing fluence from 1 × 1016 to 3 × 1016 atoms/cm2. Atomic force microscopy was performed for the pristine and irradiated samples to study the surface morphology. The atom beam irradiation induced sputtering and surface diffusion lead to the formation of plasmonic surface. Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy of the pristine and irradiated film indicates that metal content in the film decreases with ion fluence, which is attributed to the sputtering of Ag by Ar atoms. The contact angle measurement demonstrates the possibility of engineering the hydrophilicity by atom beam irradiation. 相似文献

Electrical treeing is one of the major breakdown mechanisms for solid dielectrics subjected to high electrical stress. In this paper, the characteristics of electrical tree growth in XLPE samples have been investigated. XLPE samples are obtained from a commercial XLPE power cable, in which electrical trees have been grown from pin to plane in the frequency range of 4000-10,000 Hz, voltage range of 4-10 kV, and the distances between electrodes of 1 and 2 mm. Images of trees and their growing processes were taken by a CCD camera. The fractal dimensions of electric trees were obtained by using a simple box-counting technique. The results show that the tree growth rate and fractal dimension was bigger when the frequency or voltage was higher, or the distance between electrodes was smaller. Contrary to our expectation, it has been found that when the distance between electrodes changed from 1 to 2 mm, the required voltage of the similar electrical trees decreased only 1or 2 kV. In order to evaluate the difficulties of electrical tree propagation in different conditions, a simple energy threshold analysis method has been proposed. The threshold energy, which presents the minimum energy that a charge carrier in the well at the top of the tree should have to make the tree grow, has been computed considering the length of electrical tree, the fractal dimension, and the growth time. The computed results indicate that when one of the three parameters of voltage, frequency, and local electric field increase, the trends of energy threshold can be split into 3 regions. 相似文献

A single phase rare earth double perovskite oxide Ba2CeNbO6 (BCN) is synthesized by solid-state reaction technique for the first time. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the sample at room temperature shows monoclinic structure, with the lattice parameters, a=5.9763 Å, b=5.975 Å and c=8.48 Å and β=90.04°. Impedance spectroscopy is used to study the ac electrical behavior of this material as a function of frequency (102-106 Hz) at various temperatures (30-450 °C). A relaxation is observed in the entire temperature range. Conduction mechanism is investigated by fitting the complex impedance data to Cole-Cole equation. Complex impedance plane plots show only one semicircular arc, indicating only the grain contribution of dielectric relaxation. The scaling behavior of imaginary part of electric modulus (M″) and imaginary part of electrical impedance (Z″) suggests that the relaxation describes the same mechanism at various temperatures. The frequency dependence of conductivity is interpreted in terms of the jump relaxation model and is fitted to Jonscher's power law. The values of dc conductivities extracted from the Jonscher power law varies from 2.79×10−7 to 3.5×10−5 Sm−1 with the increase in temperature from 100 to 450 °C. The activation energies (0.37 eV) extracted from M″(ω) and Z″(ω) peaks are found to follow the Arrhenius law. 相似文献

为了分析高功率准分子激光主振荡功率放大(MOPA)系统中各光学元件稳定性对靶面光斑定位精度的影响,建立了分析模型,利用分析结果指导高稳定性镜架设计以满足系统实验需求。根据高功率准分子激光MOPA系统特点,有效地简化了系统光路,建立了系统光路模型;按照系统打靶精度要求,利用三维坐标变换和光线追迹法,计算得到了系统单个光学元件稳定性对靶面光斑定位精度的影响规律;最后,对自行设计的镜架进行了稳定性测量。计算结果表明,反射镜的旋转变化和透镜垂直光轴的平移变化是影响靶面光斑定位精度的主要因素,且主放大光路中反射镜在X方向和Y方向上最大的变化范围分别不能超过0.8和1.6μrad。实际测量结果表明,设计的镜架在X方向和Y方向最大的变化范围分别为0.6和0.81μrad,满足系统实验要求。 相似文献
